I strongly believe in the vital role that lawyers play in our society, as the true function of lawyers goes far beyond what meets the eye. Our work has profound social significance, shaping the lives of individuals, communities, and entire nations.
The protection of rights is one of the key aspects of the lawyer's role. Lawyers ensure that people have a voice, especially those who might otherwise be silenced. In doing so, we serve as guardians of the fundamental rights that underpin our society. Whether it's fighting for civil rights, gender equality, labor rights, or environmental protections, lawyers have historically played a critical role in pushing society forward, ensuring that laws evolve to reflect our collective values of fairness and equality. Lawyers are, in this sense, not just legal professionals but also social activists.
